What's in a name?
Our style of Wing Tsun is not to be confused with Wing Chun, another popular style practised in Thailand and throughout the world. Wing Chun is a more popular term than Wing Tsun and many believe that they are one and the same. Wing Tsun and Wing Chun are also often spelled Ving Tsun and Ving Chun however we at Wing Tsun Thailand stick to training in the Leung Ting style of Wing Tsun. Wing Tsun is a Chinese female name which means "Always Blossoming Springtime".
Learn Kung Fu in Thailand:
Wing Tsun is based upon the same style used by Bruce Lee before he developed his own style called Jeet Kune Do. It was developed in China around 250 years ago and is a form of Kung Fu, which in is a living philosophy containing Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism. Most strategies that are necessary in combat can be used in daily life for example; giving in when the pressure gets too much, but not more than necessary, returning the pressure when it is released on the other side. Sticking to one target and following up and if the road ahead is blocked, do not give up - find a way around.
